Currently serving as the state lobbyist during the Georgia General Assembly for the City of Albany. I am also a consultant and advocate for GPAN(Georgia Coalition for Physical Activity and Nutrition) and Founder/CEO of The YBH (Youth Becoming Healthy) Project.

Additionally, I am pursuing a PhD in Public Policy and Administration as well as obtaining certification to become a Certified Leadership, Business and Corporate Coach.

I have served as a volunteer on 2nd District Congressman Sanford Bishop's campaign since 1996; Campaign Manager for County Chairman Jeff "Bodine" Sinyard; Regional Campaign Coordinator for Lt. Governor candidate; Volunteer for Gubernatorial and Mayoral candidates.

Formal training and certifications received by the 21st Century Democrats and the Congressional Black Caucus Political Leadership Institute. 

Over 10 years experience in tangible and intangible sales.  Previous work history includes newspaper and radio advertising, advertorial writing, marketing and advertising campaign strategies, and other media relations duties. 

Volunteered as a reporter for Albany State University's student newspaper and contributed several feature articles and op-ed pieces to The Albany Herald.

Created media campaign and marketing materials for several organizations and initiatives, including Georgia on the Move - a statewide wellness program and The YBH Project. (www.ybhproject.org)

Received formal training and certificates in basic and advanced grantwriting; Started my own non-profit organization and serves as a consultant for others; previously contracted as the Interim Grants Coordinator for the City of Albany. 

Duties included grants research for the various City departments and working with an Interdepartmental Grants Team to draft a Grants Manangement Policy; Conducted grant training class for area non-profits, etc.

My previous work history includes over 6 combined years of job development and job readiness training around the state.  As the former Supported Employment Coordinator for the SWGA Easter Seals Society, my duties included finding suitable employment for clients with disabilities.  I was also responsible for preparing them for work by teaching them to complete job applications, participate in job interviews and job searches, proper dress, legal and illegal questions, etc.

This newly created program was as a result of a contract with Georgia Department of Human Resources - Vocational Rehabilitation Services.  After the contract ended, I was bought on board full time by Vocational Rehabilitation Services to continue in this role. 

While there, I created a "Road to Work" curriculum which was used as a teaching tool for students and clients in Southwest Georgia to gain or re-gain employment.
